Title: ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ: Unlocking the Nationโs Subsurface to Support the Energy Transition

Carbon Solutions has developed a new software package called ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ that rapidly and accurately screens for CO2 storage, CO2-geothermal, and energy storage opportunities. ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ uses a unique and transformational approach to simulate CO2 sequestration in saline aquifers that couples the dynamic physics of CO2 injection and storage associated with full-physics models with the speed of an integrated assessment model. ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ is a fast-running, machine learning tool trained using tens of thousands reservoir model simulations. ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ can be used standalone to review storage sites, or in tandem with ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐๐แดพแดฟแดผ for a full perspective on COโ capture, transport, and storage. ๐๐๐โ๐แดพแดฟแดผ is able to rapidly evaluate potential COโ storage sites, including accurate screening-level storage capacities, injection rates, number of wells, and integrated sequestration costs. The tool has advanced, unmatched capabilities, including:
- Dynamic COโ storage capacity, injection rates, and plume evolution.
- Advanced sequestration economics.
- Detailed uncertainty and sensitivity analysis.
- Market assessment and project feasibility calculations.
