Modeling & Analysis Intern
Emily is a Modeling & Analysis Intern at Carbon Solutions and a PhD candidate in mathematics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. With Carbon Solutions, she is using NREL’s ReEDS model to quantify the value of sedimentary basin geothermal power plants to decarbonizing the electric power system. At UIC, she studies extremal combinatorics, which relates local structure and global properties in large networks.
Outside of working hours, Emily can be found walking her dog, playing complex board games, and attending theater performances throughout Chicago.
