Flexible CO₂-Plume Geothermal

Check out this new paper introducing Flexible CO₂-Plume Geothermal (CPG-F) Facilities that our Research Scientist Jonathan Ogland-Hand helped write: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.enconman.2021.115082. As described in the paper, GPG-F facilities are designed to use geologically stored CO₂ to provide dispatchable power, energy storage, or both services simultaneously. As such, integrating CPG-F facilities to decarbonize the grid would both directly (through sequestration) and indirectly (through increasing penetration of variable renewable energy technologies) reduce CO₂ emissions!
