Carbon Solutions is working with companies throughout the U.S. and the world to better understand the capacity and cost of storing CO₂ in Deep Saline Formations. We are pleased to announce that a new open-access publication in the journal Frontiers in Earth Science provides a deep dive on approaches to estimating storage capacity and presents a new hierarchical framework that accounts for variable levels of data richness and other key factors. This publication is another key outcome from the decade-long international collaboration to advance CCS technologies known as the US-China Clean Energy Research Center, Advanced Coal Technology Consortium. We are pleased to co-author this paper with our CERC-ACTC colleagues, particularly lead author Ning Wei from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
