New Study with CERC-ACTC

Carbon Solutions is working with companies throughout the U.S. and the world to better understand the capacity and cost of storing CO2 in Deep Saline Formations. We are pleased to announce that a new open-access publication in the journal Frontiers in Earth Science provides a deep dive on approaches to estimating storage capacity and presents a new hierarchical framework that accounts for variable levels of data richness and other key factors. This publication is another key outcome from the decade-long international collaboration to advance CCS technologies known as the US-China Clean Energy Research Center, Advanced Coal Technology Consortium. We are pleased to co-author this paper with our CERC-ACTC colleagues, particularly lead author Ning Wei from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
