PSHAUM in the News!

This week Indiana’s Herald Bulletin featured research being led by Carbon Solutions’ Co-founder Kevin Ellett on PSHAUM (Pumped-Storage Hydropower using Abandoned Underground Mines). Pumped-storage hydropower is a form of energy storage that stores energy when electricity prices are low and recovers the energy when it is needed. PSHAUM is an innovative approach that uses an abandoned underground mine for the lower reservoir. There are opportunities for PSHAUM across Indiana and the country as highlighted in the article.
