As part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the US Department of Energy is beginning the process of funding regional clean hydrogen hubs. Currently they have a request for information (RFI) out to learn more about implementation while considering factors such as environmental and energy justice concerns. Eventually they are looking to create multiple hydrogen hubs across the country. There are multiple ways of producing clean hydrogen, and when produced with natural gas, it is necessary to capture and store the carbon dioxide with CCS.
