Carl Talsma
Research Scientist
Carl is a Research Scientist who uses data analytics, such as applying artificial intelligence & machine learning (AI/ML), and GIScience, to understand a range of climate and energy challenges including climate impacts on hydrology. At Carbon Solutions, he leads and supports projects including using the SimCCS framework to CO₂ capture and storage (CCS) problems and our data analytics.
He has a BS in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Water Resource Engineering from Oregon State University. Before Carbon Solutions, Carl was a Research Technologist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
